About the Book

Grandma’s Poems bring to focus the richness of having and raising children as well as watching them grow and experience life.  Written over a period of 25 years, this collection of poems brings full circle the continuum of the human experience from the perspective of being a parent and a grandparent.  Whimsical in nature and yet expressive of understanding and being a child, the poems attest to the everlasting love of parents for their children.

About the Author

Ruth E. Cooprider-Walker, a native of the Middlewest, was born in Terre Haute, Indiana.  Raising two children of her own and being a grandmother as well, she draws upon personal experience, the joys and challenges of helping them learn about life.  She brings to her poems a perspective of living in regions across the United States as well as extensive international travel that enriches and underlines the universality of values about raising children
