Bob Balch is a native Texan who was born and raised in Seymour, Texas, on the banks of the Brazos River. He graduated from Seymour High School in 1965 and moved on to another city on the Brazos River, Waco, Texas, to continue his higher education at Baylor University where he graduated in 1971 with degrees in business and law. Bob worked as a certified public accountant for a large multi-national accounting firm in their Fort Worth, Texas, office for three years in their tax division. Bob and his wife, Debbie, moved to Wichita Falls, Texas, in the summer of 1974 and have made it their home for over 31 years where he has practiced law. Their two sons, Trey and Josh, were born, raised and educated in Wichita Falls. They live in Fort Worth, Texas, where Trey is a doctor doing his internship, and Josh is a research assistant and lab technician.
This book “Treasure of the Wichita” is Bob’s third published book by AuthorHouse. His previous books entitled “The Brazos Connection” and “Bridgetown on the Red” are also works of historical fiction. Bob is an Eagle Scout and a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow. His love of history and the rivers and Indians of this area was kindled through his scouting experiences, his explorations, and his studies about the region. Bob hopes that his books spark that same desire in his readers to learn more about the history of this great country.
