Most of the people that I’ve led to Christ have been women, I’ve called them “the women at the well”. I’ve always heard that women should witness to women and men witness to men. There certainly are precautions to take when you witness to a member of the opposite sex because of the personal nature of salvation or perhaps I should say that very often there is an emotional moment where you hug or touch a person physically and Satan is probably very active when a person has come under conviction. It is natural to desire to hold a person who is crying or perhaps rejoicing over their surrender to Christ.
In Christ’s earthly ministry, Jesus called the men to follow Him-from Peter to the sons of Zebedee to Zacchaeus from up in the sycamore tree he called them. The women simply followed-from the Marys to the unnamed woman at the well. If you consider those who serve Christ in churches and especially to those who serve on the mission field, women outnumber men by a wide range.
Just as Jesus knew He had to go to a certain city for His encounter with the woman at the well, the road and plan that God had for me began many years before I met my first woman at the well.
As you begin reading this book, you will find that it starts with the story of my life and the path that God took me down, as He pursued me, found me, began to mold me, before He entrusted me with the women that I met and led to the Lord. As I wrote about this journey, I was once again in awe of how God has worked in my life and continues to work.

This book is about God’s perfect plan for my life. I’ve written it to encourage others to understand that He has a wonderful plan for their lives and indeed for everyone on this planet. God not only loves the world, but every individual.
For many years I kept wondering what this plan was until God brought to memory my life’s journey with Him. During that time as a sometime reluctant servant of His and a life of “telling the story” of His love, I was brought into the lives of the “treasure and pleasures” of people and places that God had planned for me.
As you are reading this book where the word “ASIDE” appears in the text, it is a deviation from the story- line, but of anecdotal interest to the reader.
About the Author
JOHN KENNEDY holds degrees from Columbia University, Rutgers University and NYU. He taught for thirty years in the NYC School System, as well as being active in his local church.
John is a retired schoolteacher who actively served the Lord as a lay preacher, Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent, Deacon and exhorter of God's Word.
He enjoys reading statistics, walking, meeting people and learning about them and exhorting his fellow brothers and sisters. He has also used his retirement to write three books, THIRTY AND OUT, THE WOODLAND TRILLIUM, and THE GREAT GAME OF BOMBARDMENT. He is married, has two grown children and three grandsons.
