About the Author
Susan Speck is a Divemaster and currently co-owner of Dolphin Dive Center in Loreto Baja. She has owned and managed a dive store in California for 24 years and has been photographing and diving the Sea of Cortez for more than 25 years. Her articles and photographs of Baja and many other remote diving destinations have appeared in diving, travel and nature magazines worldwide. She also authored the book ‘Diving Baja California’, by Aqua Quest Publications in 1995. She served on the Board of Directors for CEMR ‘Coalition for Enhanced Marine Resources’. Having studied marine life sciences, she has a special fondness for the Sea of Cortez. She has traveled extensively throughout the world, and has been one of first to dive many primitive and remote areas. She was on the first dive expedition to Sipadan Island in Malaysia, camping in tents. She continues to lead dive expeditions worldwide.
Bruce Williams is a Master Scuba Instructor and has a degree from Pepperdine University, CA. He is currently co-owner of Dolphin Dive Center in Loreto. He owned and operated a dive store in California for 10 years. His photography has appeared in dive publications and calendars. He also gives presentations on diving and marine life from his extensive expeditions worldwide. He began exploring Baja in 1964, driving the entire peninsula in a fiat when the roads were unpaved. With his great passion for Baja, through his talks and photography, he strives to show others the richness of the Sea of Cortez.
