About the Book
The majority of my story contains my personal recollections of events in my life. What happened in the life of my family and I during the time prior to my age of 5 or 6 were stories told to me by my parents and grandparents. Hopefully telling the story of my young tumultuous life might help some child out there who is being molested or raped and is afraid to tell someone. It might give some relief from this horrible crime being committed against them. I have purposely omitted names of those involved to protect the privacy of those still living.
There are neither exaggerations in the experiences I have written here, nor any additions for the sake of impact. I have tried to paint clear pictures in the reader's mind.
About the Author
I am a soon to be retired elementary principal, being in education for 45 years. All the controversy on both sides of the issue of abortion and sexual abuse of children drove me to write this story of my life. I hope it will help those 6 million or more women whao are or have been abused by sexual predators in and out of the home.
I want to show the reader that one can move on and have a quality life beyond the "hell" those predators have put upon one for a lifetime. Perhaps my service to children through the field of education has helped identify those who have been abused and alerted the correct officicals to give them help.
Writing this book has helped me ward off the guilt I carried around for years. It was the most cathargic thing I've done for myself and hopefully for others with whom I have listened to their story after reading mine.
