About the Book

The Puppy Named Gus suddenly came to me as I was driving through Chicago. I decided to write the story and present it to my grandchildren; Evan, Colin and Torrey and recent granddaughter Morgan Ruth McClain. The unillustrated copy as Christmas gifts. My hope is that they and other children might be inspired by Gus and Charley that they overcome fear and doubt-believe in themselves, follow their heart and dreams to find happiness.

Grandpa Bill

About the Author

Born in Knoxville Tennessee, Bill moved to Indiana when he was a few months old. He started writing very early, though not very well he admits. When Bills two sons were young he wrote a series of short stories named “Another Typical Saturday”. These stories attempted to capture the boy’s personalities and were written for his and their enjoyment.

Bill continued to write other stories. As a police officer he wrote a parody about a lieutenant titled “The Amazing Adventures of Joke Drupe”. These stories were written again for fun and not intended to detract from anyone’s fine reputation. Circulated for nearly three years before being “caught” Bill stopped after being “advised to do so or be reprimanded.”

The Puppy Named Gus series was written to inspire children, through Gus and Charley to follow their dreams and find happiness.

Bill currently lives in Brown County, Indiana where he enjoys outdoor activities, training horses and playing drums and guitar. He sincerely hopes readers enjoy these books.
