Hurricane Katrina
Hurricane Katrina was a awful creature,
that no filmmaker could ever feature.
She traveled 160 miles per hour
and couldn’t wait to devour.
Devour everything in sight
with all her strength and might.
A lot of families were torn apart
and now trying to figure out where to start.
No one knew we would see this day,
that’s why would should pray everyday.
Pray everyday to the mighty one
because without him there would be none.

About the Book
To the readers:
I started writing “Poetry From Within the Heart” in November 2005. It is a book of Love Family Inspiration. It involves emotions, events, challenges that I have faced and many others.” Hurricane Katrina” is an example. It was an awful creature that tore families apart.
I do relate to this because I have lost family members in the past and present. We all have lost something whether it's family, money, shelter e.t.c. I want to inspire people to do their best and strive to achieve their dreams.

I have a 9-year old daughter. I graduated from Taft High School.I attended Beckfield College and received a Certificate in Medical Office Technology. I am currently pursuing my associate's degree in Medical Billing Specialist. In my spare time I like to write, workout, shop, and cook.
