About the Author

Frank S. Zepezauer was born in Milwaukee, WI, September 2nd, 1928, attended Marquette High School and, for two years, Marquette University. He transferred to the University of Chicago from which he received an M.A. in English in 1954. Thereafter he taught English in California high schools, 32 years on the faculty of Menlo-Atherton High School in Atherton, CA. He specialized in the teaching of composition, served for ten years as a member of the Bay Area Writers’ Project. He also worked as a writer. He was a co-author of the Addison Wesley textbook series, English 7-12 and edited a school edition of Shakespeare’s As You Like It for the Amsco Literature Program. He has published more than fifty articles in both the professional and commercial press.

In the 1970s, he took an interest in the status of boys in the public school system and joined the Men’s Rights Movement which he served as a member of the National Coalition of Free Men (NCFM) and the Men’s Defense Association (MDA). He became vice-president of the MDA in 1990 and worked as a contributing editor for their newspaper, The Liberator.

He and his wife, Joan, married in 1954. They have four children and four grandchildren.
