About the Book

            Maria, a young girl living on Prince Edward Island, Canada, lies in a coma. Aaron Worthington and Jeff Spencer are on the island managing their substantial investments in a world wide wind energy and organic food empire known as SPENWORTH. They discover substantial threats to both parts of their worldwide empire. The immediate threat is to their research and development with organic potatoes on PEI and in the Atherton tableland region of Queensland, Australia. Maria’s future and the threats to SPENWORTH become intertwined. Aaron and Jeff, being nosy journalists, are involved in solving the multiple mysteries which have become intertwined. About the Author

            Dr. George Everett Tuttle grew up in central Illinois, graduated from Illinois State Normal University and completed his Ph.D. in Speech Communication at the University of Illinois. He is Professor Emeritus of Communication at Illinois State University. After 40 years teaching in secondary schools and in higher education he has turned to writing fiction and family history. Saving Maria includes primary characters from his first two novels, Murder in the Opera House and Death in the Vineyard.

            He has traveled extensively in the United States, Australia, Canada, and England. George and his wife, Joann, enjoy travel, ballroom dancing, photography, reading, genealogy research, fine wine, good food and interesting conversation. Having taught American History, Government, and Persuasion, Dr. Tuttle continues his interest in politics.
