About the Book

Son of God tells the saga of a married man who, after a fierce and triumphant inner struggle, finally comes to terms with his being gay. Gabriel Razzetti, the protagonist, stands as a metaphor for a large number of men who, due to their primal fear of emasculation, either repress their homosexuality and live an outward lie or live a double life - one in the closet and one for public approval.

Until Gabe is willing to see both the masculinity and the divinity that enlivens his gayness, he is hopelessly trapped in an identity that others sought to mercilessly mold.  Once, however, he begins to question the fear-ridden beliefs that were indoctrinated into his psyche, he learns to ultimately discern the false prophets (those who claim that God hates gay people) from the truly spiritual people among us (those who live the truth that God dwells within the core of every living being - gay, straight and everything in between).

Son of God will help renew your faith in the divinity that lies behind your unique individuality. It will also serve as a spiritual response to the religious extremists who have - for far too long - been dominating our public discission about the place that gays and lesbians should have (or not have) in our pluralistic society.
