Valentine’s Day Joy
Eighteen years have past, so fast, and ever so quickly.
It seems it was yesterday that I held you in my arms.
A smiling bundle of joy filled my heart with great delight,
My dear, I became a real man when your birth made me your father.
Valentine’s day joy, you were my gift, you were my blessing from heaven.
Brown eyes like almonds and no hair, you looked at me and you smiled, you smiled at me!.
Your heart is talking to me, Hello daddy!, it is a pleasure to meet you. It will be my pleasure to hold you, to love you and to kiss you. I will sleep in your arms and I will caress your face. I will let you comb my hair as soon as I can grow some.
The time passes and you grow, there are storms in our lives but our love remains strong.

Ocean Blue and 15 years
I wish I could live again the very first day I saw you.
A bundle of love I received one day 15 years ago.
My tears were tears of love, I could not stop smiling.
In that blessed April Day I felt once again the great joy of being a father.
God almighty, blessed be thy holy name!. I am a father again, help me to contain my joy, help me to control my tears. Tears of joy, tears of a real happiness.
I thank you heavenly Father for the blessing of a baby, I gave you my thanks that day and I also thank you now.
A poet of great inspiration has found himself out of words.
There are no words that I can find to describe my little girl.
I look at her, she looks at me.
A fountain of love springs from my heart.
Her fingers touch me, her eyes are now fixed on me.
Hello Daddy! Nice to meet you! A pleasure to make your acquaintance!.
My eyes overflow with tears, my legs feel weak, my arms anxiously wait to hug that little baby girl of mine.

A native of
Since Dave’s first contact with poetry provided by his mother, a renaissance woman who loved teaching young minds, Dave learned about the strong impact that popular poetry has on shaping the culture, customs and history of entire countries. Customs, views and laws have been changed by using poetry and literary essays to expose injustice, ignorance and even criminal behavior.
Dave has his very own personal set of beliefs; you will find those in his Life in Poems. You may or may not share Dave’s beliefs but you may share his love of poetry.
