About the Book

Although the world is crumbling in Sean’s mind there are still those who resist the temptations of greed. After the woman he loves is brutally murdered Sean decides the only true way of avenging her is to protect the rest of the women in this situation. Despite the fact he has no supernatural powers Sean tries to grasp onto a peaceful world and take a few people with him. However it’s only a matter of time before those who appose make a stand. This entire town is a metaphor for society and the desires that lie within ones soul. How do you beat adversity with only your own desire? That’s what Sean is longing to find out. Maybe there is good left in this world and not everyone has to fall the same way the one he loved did.

About the Author

As a kid growing up in a small town Hems saw his image of the world extending no further than a twenty-minute drive. However his inspirations from great classic stories inspired him to write a novel based on many tragic events he and his friends dealt with. His ideal towards this novel was to make it as realistic as possible by including many of the actions he came across in sports, relationships, and most of all growing up and the changes it put people through. Hems has always been a songwriter both lyrics and guitar and graduated in 2007. He played such sports as hockey, rugby, soccer and was active in such clubs as songwriters, and TADD. He was also active in martial arts and based most of the events in this novel on activities he came across taking part in such things.
