Totally Awesome

HIDDEN TREASURE!
You are about to discover the hidden treasure...the unsolved mystery...the missing ingredient.  It may be more dramatic than the latest big screen motion picture.  It might be more valuable to you than any other secret you've ever known.  It could be the lone key to unlock riches in every area of your life.  It is one of the simplest, yet most complex of all truth.

My favorite story as a child was about the little boy who had to walk home after football practice each day by a big, scary and gruesome graveyard.  Day after day he would take the traditional walk around that dark and foreboding place, just as the sun disappeared behind the horizon.

One lone night, after many journeys around the graveyard, he courageously cut through that lifeless field of tombstones.  He tripped along whistling and confident until he really did trip into an open grave.  Picture yourself in that dark deep hole for a moment!

He jumped and he jumped trying to get out of the dark graveyard tomb. Finally, realizing there was no way out, the little boy curled up in the cold corner.  He would have to endure the dark and lonely night and wait until morning.  

About that time, one of his buddies came bopping down the same dark path.  You guessed it!  Into the same grave he fell, literally head over heals!  The little boy in the corner remained quiet, waiting for the opportune time to encourage his friend.

After his buddy jumped up and down for what seemed like hours, the first little boy seized his opportunity.  He quietly slipped over and tapped his buddy on the back, whispering, "You're not getting' out!"  WHOOOOOM!  That little boy catapulted out of the six feet deep hole, clearing it by three feet!  He was motivated for action!

Here's the question...did he discover some unique hidden treasure, some inner magic motivator, some missing ingredient necessary to propel him to higher heights?  Was he merely motivated for the moment?  Circumstances such as exciting events and activities can often motivate you and me to provide stellar temporary performances.  That is all they are however, temporary. 

Life is a long-distance marathon not just a sprint.  The tapes and books we buy to motivate us to maximum potential often fail to promote or encourage long-term change.  Our purpose here is beyond the temporary.  You will discover the missing ingredient that will motivate you permanently!  

We are goal-oriented people.  We need challenges in life to help motivate us to maximize our talents and abilities.  Challenges add a real zest and pizzaz to life.  We need to set goals that are Achievable, Believable, Conceivable, Desirable - A...B...C...D...and E.  Could "E" be the missing ingredient, the secret hidden treasure?
