About the Book
Whether you know it or not, you are constantly sending out a message to everyone with whom you come in contact. What message are you sending? Some people are a joy to be around - they brighten up the room when they enter. There are unfortunately others who brighten up the room when they leave! You have total control over which person you will be.
The tiptoe attitude of enthusiasm will be presented to you in this book in a way perhaps you've never considered. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "No great act has ever been accomplished without enthusiasm. F.W. Woolworth said, "A man can do anything if for that thing he has enthusiasm."
What is enthusiasm? Is it the back-slapper or the guy with a bone-crushing handshake or the sunshine grin? If you have any of those characteristics you will send a message that will be interpreted positively by some and negatively by others. Whether you wish you had it or believe you want it – you will discover the real meaning of enthusiasm and never be the same. In fact, what you learn about enthusiasm will be the most valuable lesson you will learn in this life - guaranteed.
About the Author
Stephen Paul Dietzel was raised in the shadows of goal posts and stadium lights from the Louisiana bayou and the LSU Fighting Tigers to the mighty Hudson River and the West Point cadets, to the historic lowlands and the Fighting Gamecocks of South Carolina. Growing up the son of a nationally known football coach, he did not have to travel far to bask in the presence of some of America's finest athletes.
Steve has had the opportunity to speak in hundreds of settings from churches and youth rallies to seminars for senior adults. The life of enthusiasm is not an option for Steve, but a way of life. So many people go through a daily routine of existence without purpose and without hope. Steve's sincere prayer and promise is that this short book will provide a lift and an encouragement to all who read it.
Steve and his wife Judy advise senior adults about safe and secure retirement plans as well as long-term care planning. Steve has degrees in Business, a Masters in Education, and a Masters in Theology. Judy has undergraduate and Masters degrees in Education. Their son Paul is an honor student majoring in Mass Communications at Louisiana State University. They are each active members of Istrouma Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
