About the Book

My Appaloosa is a working journal designed as a workbook for anyone learning about horses or anyone who wishes to learn how to write about any subject they enjoy.

It contains sections on researching stables, lessons, and short examples of horse journaling techniques. It is small enough to carry with you, long enough to last for writing purposes and can also work with any instructoror discipline. It is also a nice journal for anyone who loves the Appaloosa horse or wants to learn about the breed and get the feeling of freedom friendship with horses can bring.

About the Author

My name is Patricia Pasda. I  began life exposed to horses and people who love them, from milk men who worked with them to a Mom who truly made them part of her life, and insured that they could be a part of mine.  I trained with many professionals and spent many hours  in the saddle growing up, including summers at a horse ranch in Bucks County, where I found so much of my young self. Later I found solace in the education of horsemanship, taking classes in all disciplines and participating in the training and healing of horses.

Many horses are in my heart, for once a horse is with you, they remain part of you. Some are in this book and are from long ago, some are from last week. A special Appaloosa colt just began a life journey as my horse companion. He has so much to learn and so much to teach me that I will have to share.

I am a successful professional  artist and writer. I teach young people from all walks of life and have paintings in collections in many parts of the world. I have had the honor of Learning from  the likes of Buckminster Fuller, Gene Roddenberry, Kunio Hagio and Murray Tinkelman, among many others in the course of my higher education. The creative approach I have in understanding horses is a unique and joyful experience. I feel blessed to be part of it.  A horses spirit and heart encompass the freedom of  America, part of our past,  who we are today  and tied to the land we cherish.
