Slippers and Wine Poems

SEASIDE,

Shapes and forms when morning dawns, cast shadows on the sand.

 The salty spray that rolls away, when splashing to the land.

Cliffs with faces seeking places, longing to be free.

Seagulls soaring to the roaring of the windswept sea.

While fishing vessels safely nestle, tied up to the pier.

They dispatch their daily catch, as people do appear.

They are day-trippers buying kippers, crabs and cockles too.

Sucking lollies under brollies, saturated through.

Leaving litter, the locals bitter. glad when they have gone.

With the daylight fading with the shading of the setting sun.

The shapes and forms then stand forlorn, with darkness fast descending.

The wind abates as the day awaits, a calm and peaceful ending.
