About the Author

My name is Hubert Winston Anderson. I am the third eldest in a family of six, and that is four boys and two girls.

Because I always loved and enjoyed reading and writing, I devoted a lot of my spare time just to do so in the reading of Biblical stories, historical books, fiction, non-fiction and good old story books, and of course magazines and news print.

As I moved about my business in life, I always have with me my pen and a pocket book, where I scribble all the little thoughts and ideas that blossomed in my mind. At some later date I would sit down, relax my mind and make those lines into more interesting readings, and this is why I was able to compile all these poems, verses and quotes.

My schooling was grade eleven, and from there I went into the police force then did some travels working at many jobs.

I took a course in bookkeeping with the London school of Business from where I received a certificate in book-keeping.

While I was at school and in grade seven, I penned this little poem, and of course was given high marks by my teacher.

                                >Smoking<

Cigarette or tobacco to me is a nasty weed,

The devil is the only person or idiot to sow the seed,

Because, tobacco only picks your pocket and burn your clothes,

Furthermore its smokes just make a chimney of your nose.

My teacher who did not smoke and who really dislike people who smoke was very proud of me, so my poem was displayed in the school. From such time I really felt inspired to write my own poems some day.

I hope and trust you will enjoy reading these poems, as I have another book of poems that I hope will be on the market very soon.

                                                 Thanks.          Hubert Winston Anderson.
