Thats Love
I want to tell you a story about my Honey and I.
After we were married we moved into this little rent house. It wasn't much, but we were together. I was so happy and wanted to be a great wife for my Honey.
So I washed clothes the only way that I could. I would put the clothes in the tub with warm water and Tide soap. Then I would get in with my feet and work the clothes with my feet and hands. Next, came the wrenching, with clear water untill all the soap was gone. But the hardest thing to do was to ring out the sheets and his khaki pants.
This all took place in the year of 1951. I was a young girl of sixteen years old and I wanted to be the best wife for him. Believe me when I say I do not wash that way any more. Ha
Then came the ironing, Oh my, I made the starch up good and thick and would starch his shorts, shirts and even the pillow cases. I would hang them out to dry, then sprinkle with water, and made ready for ironing.
I ironed his shorts, and put a nice seam down the front so they would look nice.The same for his shirts, they had to have a nice seam down the front. Then the pillow cases. One day, I should say about two weeks later, he came to me and said, Honey please don't put any more starch in my shorts, It's giving me a rash. But it was done with love.
Cooking was something I didn't know much about then. Again I wanted to be the best for him. So, I tried and tried but the pork chops were over cooked or under cooked. But my Honey didn't complain. Then one day I guess he couldn't take it any more. He came to me put his arms around me, and said Honey I want you to take this money, go to the store and buy flower, meat, sugar, coffee, what ever you need to learn to cook with. I looked at him and said, what if I burn it are it is not right? He looked at me with his big beautiful blue eyes, and said, through it in the trash and start over.I told him that was money. and he said, Honey don't worry about that, we have to eat. We have been married 56 years now as I type this little story. And believe me I have learned how to cook. As I look back I see all the love, and I know it is still there.

I will tell you a little about myself.
I had a child hood that was not the best. But even as a little girl God was there for me, to help me through some places that were not good for a small child.
Some how I always felt my Lord was there for me. He gave me the gift of Discernment, that saved me a number of times from things that would have left a deep scar on this little girl. I am not perfect, and even at my age I still have so much to learn.
I felt inspired to right this little book, not only for my Grandchildren, so they could know more about there Grandma and Grandpa. But to let them know how God can work in one persons life. I am not talking about riches, but of the inward peace that comes with having God with you.
I love to see the things of nature. John and I watch the squirrels, butterflies, and any other animal that God puts there for us to see.
I love my dogs that I call my babies. Just have Muffin now.
I do sewing, oil painting, and have been keeping this journal for a long time. When my sister in law said, to put it into a book. Well here it is. It has not been easy since I have a problem with seizures after my surgery.
