About the Book

Take Back Your Life is a compilation of life experiences that God has used to grow me up spiritually.  The title came to mind as I pondered how vicissitudes of life can negatively impact and cause major impairment in many, or all of life’s domains.  Life’s changes can rob us of courage, leaving us with the feeling that we are falling apart.  Life experiences can render us powerless over our problems and pains, and a sense of uselessness can ensue if there is not a proper perspective of what’s really going on—God working in and through our experiences.

In our everyday life experiences we come face to face with the reality of what we turn to and what we grab for in our times of desperation, when challenging life experiences appear to be running amok.  Through scripture God speaks to us in our day to day moments.  On a very familiar level God speaks in the vernacular we understand, and we are helped to know that God is actually involved in our entire life; we come to understand that there is comfort, encouragement, and strength to endure our trials.

The purpose of this book is that the scales of doubt and fear, that blind us to God’s presence, purpose, provision, and power, will be removed.  It is my deepest and earnest desire and prayer that this book will help us discover that we are not alone as we go through trials and changes, and that we will realize God’s plan and purpose for our everyday life experiences.
