Duke Lacrosse and Other Things
In
Whether in cigarette factories, Duke ‘University or that damn county
jail
Duke is an institution that always had its way
Including banning blacks from downtown on the infamous “Blue Devil
Day”
No matter how many blacks make All-American or go to the
And pass the bar
The childhood memories of Duke’s prejudices for
always leave a scar
Duke was the last University in the Triangle to Integrate
So now with the “chickens coming home to roost” they have met their
fate
The Lacrosse team is symbolic of what is wrong in the white world
They think it’s their right to violate our special “Black Pearl”
Everyone at the party as an accessory to the fact
“Whether or not they participated in the attack
Dukes’ white athletes have been hell raisers for a long time in this town
Because in their mind all blacks were buffoons and clowns
Racial profiling was probably invented at Duke
Any time the Duke police see a black man they say “Let’s get the Gook
Black employees are harassed by Duke Authorities too,
Because if you are black on Duke’s campus, you are humiliated by the
big Blue.
Hopefully, in time, Duke will see the light and hire a black president to
do what is right.
