I pray for he cannot pray for himself
Precious lord I need your immediate attention right away.
These brave soldiers need your help.
I don't think that they are able to pray.
We had to medically sedate them.
For they were in so much pain.
Their families are under so much
stress and strain.
Hold their hands precious lord for them,
not just for me.
Be the surgeons hands;
while they are in surgery.
Restore their health to complete recovery.
Enrich and strengthen their mind,
also their bodies.
For them I ask, for i'm not sure.
That they can ask you themselves.
I also ask you for their families.
Under your direct supervision,
We will do everything that we can.
I just ask you now precios lord
to take their hands.
If they could respond,
i'm sure they would.
Reach out to you,
if they could.
Amen.

Drea based her diary on nursing experiences in the civilian world and throughout the Dept of Veteran's Affairs medical centers.Recognition of the struggles and the rewards in the career of nursing; presenting it with her poetic twist.
