At this point let me introduce myself, my name is Davey Falco. I am about to take you into a world of lies, deceit and government authorised murder. I was an agent of the British government. I was not, as you may be thinking, a member of MI5 or MI6 nor was I any longer a member of the SAS. I had a security remit higher than any operatives of the afore mentioned agencies. I had operated in areas of the anti-crime world that for any number reasons or areas where the recognised agencies can not logistically work or areas where more often than not the government could not be seen to have authorised any interventions. You can probably guess that the "company" are not too impressed with my new found openness. As I explain events that started over 20 years ago, back in October 1984, I think you'll understand why I feel that the governments’ beliefs in how it handles people should be thrown open for the nation to see................
Many centuries ago the world was consumed by wars fought for Land, Power and Money, all in the name of religious domination. Media headlines branded around the world in recent times have bastardised religious sentiment in order to build a deep fear among the general population. Alienating communities and dividing families. Breeding a deep sense of mistrust and hatred, it is never reported too loudly that the one thing all religions have at their core is a peaceful existence. Headlines such as Religious extremism are a contradiction in terms. To be an extremist means to fore go the understanding of core religious beliefs. While it is the mass media that has been manipulated to get the message to the masses, it is the security services that are being used to perpetuate and give credence to this lie. Irreversibly damaging the reputation, of an honourable body of men and women dedicated to the sole purpose of keeping the many safe from the evil that lurks in the darkest reaches of humanity. An institution that, in the UK anyway had for many years been void of political ambition or religious malice, working only for the common good, even when that meant going against their political masters, a situation that stripped the security service of its credibility, in the eyes of the general public. |

About the Author

Davey is a 31 year old Hospitality Manager. Brought up in Bermondsey, South London, He has worked in London, Manchester and Leeds. Davey had a keen interest in history, but not in the typical sense of just names, dates and places. He wanted to understand the cause and effect of historical events. To know what was going on behind closed doors. This fact more than any other lead to the idea that perception is everything and if you can manipulate someones perception of something, you can make them believe what you want them to believe. The characters in "Finding My Peace" allow for this concept to be explored in a modern and relevent context.
