Introduction:
Hi! My name is Melvin. My best friends call me Ned. My friends like to rhyme most of the time. They said, Ned, rhymes with my brother’s name Fred. Fred has a friend, his name is Ted. Melvin would be like trying to rhyme using the word orange. There’s not much to go with that. On the other hand, Ned has so many possibilities. As you read my stories, you can circle the words that rhyme with Ned. Look and listen for these words: Ted – Fred – Bread – Spread – Head – Bed – Said There may be more, so try to keep track as you read through. Listen for other words that rhyme in the story too. See if you can pick them out as you read, it’s a fun thing to do.

About the Author
Born Michael John, he grew up with the nick name Mickey. It wasn't until the age of ten that he found out the nick name came from his great grandfather and not the mouse. A Cleveland, Ohio native married thirty years with two sons, a dog, two birds and a frog. After being a life long couch potato, he turned from television to writing. As a result The Adventures of Melvin Twitcher has become a reality. Three other books for the older crowd are in the works. His first book, Crossing the River Blue can be ordered on line.
