Hitting Bottom & Living on Top

Success is often measured by how much money one has in their bank account or how much money one’s business is making. However, success should be measured on a far greater and broader scale than simply money.

Would we call Abraham Lincoln a failure? He faced many trials in his business endeavors but was and still is revered as an honest, hard-working and very successful man and president. We must understand that many trials are simply a stepping stone for your next opportunity. Trials dealt with properly could be just one step away from incredible success financially, emotionally, or both.

The shortest trip through the forest is straight through the middle, but that may not always be the easiest. The same is true for trials. The shortest way through any trial is straight ahead, but you must be willing to stay the course and live on top regardless of the pain and suffering.

I promise you will be a better person on the other side of the trial.

Exemption is a friend to no one when it comes to trials and tribulations of life. It doesn’t matter if you are rich, poor, or famous, or what race or religion you are. We are all susceptible to trials. We also must understand that no matter how difficult your trial may be, there is always someone else in this world who is dealing with a trial much more difficult than your personal pain and suffering.

Let us all remember that how we prepare ourselves before a storm and how well we handle our emotions in the midst of a difficult situation will usually determine the finished product when the storm has passed.

How much sweeter is the victory after the trial is over, when we’ve kept the faith, loved one another, and learned to walk with joy and peace that surpasses all understanding.
