Inspired by an Angel in Blue

 Flawless token of love

Last night I flew into twilight

gathered moon glare and star dust

and began to design with light

a flawless token of love

with dawn in the horizon

and with an unfinished piece on hand

I stole a dewdrop from a petal

trying to finish my art

but birds were flying by

followed by butterflies

heaven was dressed in blue

the sun was beginning to shine

surrounded by so much beauty

all I could do was cry

I had nothing else to offer

as a token of my love

because I had already given you

two precious jewels

life and soul

Inspiration

The lirics I use in poems

to portrait feelings of love

to those who claim the words are mine

I must reply

the key signature without a doubt

the wisdom to write is not

his are the words

he is the inspiration

I'm just an instrument of his love

so his should be the glory

for each rhyming prose

rouse from his tenderness

his embrace's warmth

his scent and passion

his way of making love

his are the odes I wrote

since they were all inspired

by his love
