From the Pit to the Palace

                               Introduction

        When my spirit was overwhelmed

         within me, then thou knewest my

         path. In the way wherein I walked

         have they privily laid a snare for me.

         (Psalm 142:3 AKJV)

        It is my desire to expose the devil of the sin (seed) nature, which has such a negative effect in our lives, Thus, I offer the events of my life, from the age of four to the present, as my written testimony of how God delivered me from Satan's snare.

         I pray that God will bless the readers who wish to understand the struggle homosexuals encounter. I encourage those who are practicing that death-style to know there is hope and true happiness in Christ Jesus. It is only through trusting in Him that deliverance can take place and the empty void be filled. Finally, to those who are HIV positive, or who have full-blown AIDS, I witness to you. There is healing in administering the Word of God.

        If my people, which are called by my

        name, shall humbly themselves, and

       pray, and seek my face, and turn

        from their wicked ways; then will I

        hear from heaven, and will forgive

        their sin, and will heal their land.

        (2 Chronicles 7:14)

         At the time of writing From the Pit to the Palace, I was struggling with my emotions of what it would take to write this book. I knew I would have to dig in the hidden chest of my life and pull out memories that I'd rather leave buried. But at the same time, I realized how vitally important it was for me to do so in order that I might be totally healed, delivered and made whole. I wondered what people would think of me, especially those that knew me but not my past. I am now a minister. Would people hear my witness or see my past and judge me accordingly? Again, I had to put things in their proper perspective, which meant that I had to deny myself, pick up my cross, and follow Jesus.

        The Lord reminded me that I was not my

own.

        I was bought with a price and that was

        the blood of Jesus.

        (1 Corinthians 6:20)

         I also realized that there were many other people - saved and lost, Christians and none - Christians - who needed to know there is an alternative lifestyle that is only found in Christ Jesus. Thirty-one years of my life were sacrificed to satan as a result of being molested at the age of five. This, I believe, was a major influence over the death-style I was in.

        The thief comes only to steal and kill

        and destroy.  I Am come, that you might

        have life and that more abundantly

        (John 10:10 NKJV)

         One is not born homosexual, nor is homosexuality genetic. It is, however, a learned behavior. We must understand the unregenerated Adamic nature, having not recieved the new birth in Christ Jesus, of which I will talk more about later in the book.

        There was a man of the Pharisees,

        named Nicodemus, a member of the

        Jewish ruling council, He came to

        Jesus at night and said, "Rabbi, we

        know you are a teacher who has

        perform the miraculous signs you

        are doing if God were not with him".

         In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the

         truth, no one sees the kingdom of God

         unless he is born again. (John 3: 1-3

         NKJV)

        After learning and embracing this truth, I now live a victorious life over the spirit and struggles of homosexuality. Not to say there aren't challenges and some temptations, for the adversary will always try to entrap you into that very thing from which God has delivered you. But I choose not to allow myself to continue to walk in darkness, now that I see the Light.
