About the Author

In 1985 I John Geter was born.  Until the age of five I lived in Tyler, Texas.  At this time my mother, two sisters, and I moved to Arlington which is in Texas as well.  Moving from my family at this age I thought I was homesick.  But it came to me and the family’s attention that I had a brain tumor.  This brain tumor is what left me blind.

Over my lifetime I wondered and wondered about what I could do as a career.  Because most things I felt that you needed sight in order to get it accomplished.  Just like people learn a new language or anything else.  My being blind grew on me.  Now I can do everything as good id not better than the average man.  I’m one who always goes for what I want.

At this point in my life two books are being sold, that were written by me.  And currently running a vending business, which is growing on a day to day basis.  I said all this to say never give up, because there’s a challenge facing you.  I worked for everything that I have and it couldn’t have happened any other way.  If everything was handed to me there wouldn’t be a story to tell.
