About the Author
Sonya Summersgill lived the first part of her life as an orphan, living inChildren's Homes in Northern Ireland. At the age of eight she was fostered and has remained with that family ever since. In 1990 she graduated from Dundee University and joined the British Army as an Officer. She has experienced many postings across the world from Iraq, to the Falklands, to Northern Ireland, to Turkey and to Bosnia. She retired from the Army in 2006 at the ripe old age of 38 and as a Major.
