Jenna McKnight walked down the block to her family’s home mad. More than mad she was pissed. Not only had she spent two hours getting ready for the school dance that her stupid boyfriend would not go to with her. (He had a baseball game the next morning. She hated how he had used that as an excuse. “Jenna coach said he’s gonna call the chaperons and if any of us were there we’re not playing”.) Her date had left her there, she was freezing, and her sandals were killing her. Her mom was right it was too cold to wear sandals in March. As she walked to her family’s empty home (Her mom and dad were at her sister’s school play) she heard crunching coming from behind her. Jenna turned around and then instantaneously ran. She felt herself grabbed and pulled down to the ground. She felt eight hard jabs to the stomach, she was in so much pain she started to cry. Then she felt cold metal against her throat.

About the Book
Written while she was still in high school and published during her freshman year of college K.B. Malewich sets the stage for a new series in her first novel. MURDER 101. In the small town of Larkins five teenage girls have been murdered by a serial killer. The Hollis family has been sent to investagate by the agency. A government agency sent in when typical approachs do not work. Candid and Echo, the Hollis teenagers, pose as students at the local high school to figure out who the next target is and hopefully stop the killer.
About the Author
K.B Malewich was born in 1989 and has been writing since middle school. She became a published poet at the age of thirteen and has had half a dozen poems published. Murder 101 is her first novel. She lives in New York City
