About the Book

FICTION Something Like Love Nadene Hunter was a thirty-eight year old attorney who owns her owned successful law practice; and, on top of all that—she’s drop dead gorgeous. She had everything a girl could want—looks, charm, and money. However, she didn’t have a man—and had no problem letting a brother know that she’s not looking. Omar Lovingood had been known to be a lover and a ladies man. All the women loved him. He was six-feet-three, dark haired, brown eyed and mocha in skin color. Omar was a psychologist with all the right moves and the best pick up lines. He played the game with no shame. That is, until he met Nadene. She was sweet, charming, and sexy and not to be had. Kirt Hayes worked for Nadene. His sexy sea green eyes and tan skin made him appealing to most women, but not to the one he loved. Nadene Hunter was forbidden fruit, but he loved and wanted her regardless. She was his fantasy and his dream. Then there was Jamal, new to the firm and married with two kids. Another fine as wine heart throb. But, he had one problem—his wife, and she wanted a divorce. After teeter tottering back and forth with her on again off again plans—he decided to do his own thing. He got jungle fever.

About the Author

I never thought in a million years that I would be an author of a book that people would actually enjoy reading. I started this journal when I was a small girl by writing poetry. Occasionally, I would share some of my writing with others and was asked the question time and time again, “Why don’t you publish your work?” My reason then was simple, “No one will like it,” I’d always say.

Then, finally one day, someone asked me to write a poem for a school program, so I did. It was a success. Later that year, someone else asked if I would write a song for their wedding and perform it. I did that also, and it too was a winner. My courage was building at last. I then decided to submit some of my poetry to the National Library of Poetry and it was accepted. My poetry was published in two books America At The Millennium and With Flute and Drum and Pen.         This led me to believe that I could do anything I set my mind to do. I thought for a long time about a story I could write, and then it came.

Late one night, I awakened with an unquenchable urge to write. That is when I began pounding away at the keys on my computer writing the novel, The Second Time Around. . . You Go Girl! This was my very first self published novel. Well, here I go again. I am publishing my second book now and have nearly completed the third and have started on a fourth. I have had lots of encouragement along the way. My daughter Janeil and her husband Barry have been my biggest supporters. I sincerely hope that you will be, too.
