About the Book

What would the day be in the life of any parent to suddenly see their first born, a son have a massive cardiac arrest lying with numerous machines precisely functioning creating an undefeatable cause between life and physical death. Such is the vivid portrayal of a young life at 37 years of age called away to be at heaven’s door to meet the God who gives {life} and the God who takes it {life}away! On earth as parents there is that unstoppable torrent of constant tears, irreplaceable void of a life at it’s best in faith, career and social standing.

For every Christian with personal faith and trust in God’s only Son Jesus Christ death is a mortal enemy, yet Heaven is the ultimate hope to live for! The very powerful scripture as recorded in John 3 verse 16 “For God so loved {me} the world that he gave his only begotten son {Christ for me}that whoever believes in Him{I believe in him} should not perish but have everlasting life.” Such a hope and firm belief is the daily encouragement amidst the depths of loss, hurt, and sorrow that the pages within this book offer many who have arrived at such a situation in their households. With a measure of comfort we can each call out to Jesus amidst the torrential rain of our tears, and as feeble and weak our voices are heard as God with his Divine handkerchief wipes away all our tears.{Isaiah 8:25}

“Life’s Chosen Angel” carries you into the depths of emotions for they are real as it happened yet the truth of the scriptures affords anyone of us to understand the horror of physical death to the immediate arrival of a loved one in Christ at Heaven’s celestial door to spend a lifetime in eternity. There is a air of expectancy of our beloved one gone forever amongst us, still given the ability to be an unseen Angel aware of our helplessness, for Christ cares with his Love! Such is this “Life’s Chosen Angel” to be the emissary to carry God’s healing balm, each day for the ones who grieve touching their lives with a ray of assurance that “All is well.” In Christ alone new life is breathed in to us till that grand reunion one day when we ourselves will be called to appear before our Savior, Redeemer, and Friend!

About the Author

Rev. Paul Kumar was born in Madras {Now Chennai} in South India in the year 1941 and came to the United States of America in the year 1975. He has his family with his wife Menuka {Minnie} and their family consists of three children and four grandchildren. The children live close to their parent’s home and have been their source of comfort. The scriptures in Isaiah 46 verses 9 through 11 is the cornerstone of their lives in this blessed land, the U. S. A.

Rev. Kumar the only child for his mother, an English teacher for many decades in India raised her son with deep piety and reverence to the Christian faith. It was his mother’s faith and teaching accompanied with strict discipline and moral values became the very undeniable foundation to her child, this Author. Rev. Kumar was educated in English schools, after which he pursued a rich Naval career for ten years which made a strict disciplinarian till today at the age of sixty-six.

Returning to civilian life as young as 26 years of age, he fell in love with his present wife of forty years in marriage just after he wrote a nine page love letter expressing her beauty that marveled a rich woman of Hindu background with everything that afforded her a very enviable life in a land filled with poverty. On the contrary this author came from the opposite side of the spectrum in extreme poverty. Menuka {Minnie} gave her heart for this man, at great expense of her lavish riches and her entire family to marry this Christian man, which is not the normal for a Hindu family. Rev. Kumar lovingly spoke of Christ and his love, the cross of Calvary to help his wife see toward a Living God instead of idolatry that she was so accustomed with as a Hindu woman. Everything was done with deep love and respect with no forcible coercion. God had other plans for Rev. Kumar and his wife Menuka {Minnie} and their family.

Rev. Kumar accepted Christ as his personal savior in 1975 for he led his life by believing that he would enter the gates of Heaven just by reason of his loving mother who instilled the deep faith which was mere head knowledge and not personal to his very soul. On the other hand Menuka {Minnie} in her reasoning that was illumined by Christ’s power helped her to accept Jesus Christ as her savior of her own free will in 1975 also. She has never turned back ever since!

Rev. Kumar pursued an excellent airline career for 26 years with one of our nation’s largest airline in Customer service. He was also licensed and ordained as a Baptist Minister for his dedicated life serving Christ. He serves as a volunteer in a prison Ministry preaching Christ to the prisoners in a local County prison for the past 17 years. As an author words are richly woven in the fabric of scripture from the Bible applying it to his life and the same affordability that is for everyone who reads his books “Life’s New Dawn,” “Life’s Tossed Waves,” and now “Life’s Chosen Angel” at hand.
