About the Book

All You’re Meant to Be is a delightfully written and illustrated early-reader picture book.  It is the story of an unhappy, insecure “little worm” (caterpillar) on a journey of self-discovery.  Little worm begins his journey focused on his limitations.  He aspires to be as beautiful as other creatures he meets.  With advice and encouragement from friends to be patient and cheerful, he is transformed into a beautiful butterfly and becomes all he is meant to be.  Little worm’s story shows children the transforming effects of a positive outlook, love and support of others, and patience.  This instructive book also includes lessons on the life cycle of the butterfly and the use of contractions.  Little worm’s search for self-love and happiness is a charming tale, perfect for readers of all ages.

About the Author

Author and illustrator Helen L. Hinman has created a wonderful, uplifting story for early readers.  The mother of five girls, eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, Helen loves children and has worked with, and on behalf of, children throughout her life.  She also loves to paint.  All You’re Meant to Be is a product of these two loves.  Helen lives in Central Oregon with her dog and cat, Quinn and Beau.
