...Finally, they found her. The Lt.Col.'s brother went to stand her up, she collapsed. The other snatch-man grabbed her under one arm, the Lt.Col.'s brother grabbed her under the other and off they went as fast as obstacles and safety would allow. As they exited the building to the helicopter waiting in the street, the shooters killed anything in their path and threw hand grenades behind them just to be sure. As a result, by the time the last Marine was boarding the helicopter, a mere 2 and one half minutes later, the building was collapsing.
It was by far the most violent, heart pounding 6 minute 32 second event, from start to finish, that the Lt. Col.'s brother had ever experienced. Once airborne, he realized why they had designated two snatch-men and saw what had happened to the hostage. She had been savagely gang-raped, confirmed by the medical personnel on the helicopter. Every bone in her body below her pelvis had been broken down to her toes, her legs were covered with burn marks caused by something the size of a cigarette, only half of a ripped shirt was left on her, and she was dead. WHY??? They had good reason, she was an American!!!
The Lt. Col's brother swore an oath to himself, to God, and to the men around him that day; "if there was an American taken prisoner anywhere in the World, and he got the call to go get them, he would do absolutely, positively anything he had to do to bring them home or HE would die trying.
From that day forward, he drove himself like there was no tomorrow, he lived for this moment, this day, this second. He pushed himself harder and harder, perfecting his deadly skills, conditioning mind and body to never stop until the job was done. He volunteered for every school, every mission. He became an Anti-Terrorist Platoon Leader, and soon, all his men were as passionate, conditioned, and as well trained as he.

With acts of terror on the rise worldwide devastating families, towns, cities, and destabilizing nations, the U.N. Security Council had to act swiftly.
A resolution passed for a "request to be made, and authorization to be given to the American President to provide a VERY SPECIAL FORM OF ASSISTANCE to end the spiraling crisis in Lebanon".
From the dust, ashes, twisted and bent steel of the World Trade Center in NYC September 11, 2001 emerged a new spirit, a new unified energy, an awakening that grabbed and shook every American, and made them realize the World was indeed a very dangerous place.
Armed with information, technology, and communication provided at lightning speed through the internet, terror organizations had formed alliances and were now attacking "us".
It was clear America needed a change, a new breed of leader, a new breed of warrior, a new champion of the faithful.
As history has proven time and time again, Americans are at their best when "times seem to be at their worst". When we're sucker-punched or blind-sided, we respond collectively as one. It is in those moments that we are born again. It starts individually, then collectively. It is at those precise moments that "We the people" have made our greatest leaps and evolved to become the Nation we are.
9-11-2001 was such a moment. When the U.N. Security Council passed the resolution requesting and authorizing the American President to provide a "VERY SPECIAL FORM OF ASSISTANCE", America's new breed of leader and warriors had emerged. America's First Woman President Caroline E. Smith gave the order for the Men and Women of BLACKWATCH TACTICAL FORCE FIVE to do what they had been trained to do.
The World would never be the same again. "Justice would be served!"
About the Author
Dan O'Leary has spent years in the service of his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, the Army National Guard, and the Army Reserve.
As a Recon Marine, Team Leader, Platoon Sgt., Drill Instructor, Logistics Specialist, and Instructor, he has had plenty of experience in training, motivating, and equipping members of the Armed Forces with what they needed, when they needed it and how they needed it.
He loves history (especially American History), writing, reading, fitness, and cherishes being an American citizen. He has been known to carry a copy of the Constitution of the United States and the Declaration of Independence in his pocket and absolutely loves to inform his family, friends, coworkers (and anyone else who will listen) about interesting facts and stories relating to the birth and development of the United States.
Dan continues to live his dream of writing books while working two jobs to support his family.
He currently lives on Long Island in the State of New York with his family.
