Heads Up, Shoulders Back

When things are rough don’t get in a muck,

Focus on the brighter future and you won’t get stuck.

Try, Try, Try though you might not speak.

Look to the light and you won’t see the bleak.

And when there’s very little and your pockets are bare.

Find strength in God and you won’t even care.

Wait for the turn around of that brighter day.

When things get much better and go your way.

Keep your chin up and don’t let it come down.

Find your smile and lose that frown.

Persevere and try.

How hard it is you may cry.

Hold your head up with shoulders back.

You’re a child of God who needs no slack.

Patiently wait for when the sun comes out.

Believe it can happen and have no doubt.

God has your back you take care of the rest.

Walk in the light and be your best.

Feeling Love

I have loved you as days gone by.

The way I feel needs no reply.

The way I feel makes no demands.

Its open ears and open hands.

Love as strong as raging storms.

Beautiful as a rose yet bears no thorns.

Blowing winds, blue skies and sun know not of my love for you.

But I will help you know it’s true.

How can I express this love with all its pleasure?

I try and count the ways it seems no way to measure.

Thank God we know what love is for.

And with each passing day our love grows even more.
