About the Book

Memories: Blood, Sweat, and Fears And a Little Bit More is a collection of actual experiences, some tragedies, some heartfelt emotions, and even some humorous stories that have become lasting and lifelong memories for the writer.  The components—blood, sweat, and fears—play a pivotal role in this author’s storage of memories.  She has shared intimate personal experiences where blood, sweat, and fears were an intricate part in creating these memories.  She has captured these components and written about her experiences in a simple, southern style, as if the reader is sitting there with the writer as she tells her stories.

About the Author

At the beginning of 2006, Faye M. Hardin began another chapter in her life—retirement—ending a little over a forty-four year career as a Federal Employee with the United States Department of Agriculture.  She now spends her time doing those things she really wants to do.  She is active in her church, serves on the Farm Service Agency County Committee in her home county, and is a member of the local Hospital Advisory Board.  She enjoys cooking and since retiring, she has started her own little business, Meta’s Bakery, specializing in Pound Cakes.  She loves spending time with her friends and her family and especially with her three beautiful and energetic granddaughters.  A native North Carolinian, she lives in Elizabethtown with her husband, Wilford.
