About the Author

Dorothy Lee Norris was born in the once small town of Willoughby, Ohio, to a family of nine children.  She inherited her imagination from her father, who never realized his own talent.  Married, to a man from the South, at eighteen.  They raised two sons together.

One day,  retired and single, ready to burst with thoughts filling her head, she sat down to write.  Words flowed out of her pen like magic.  Those words became her first poem.  Poems by Dorothy; FROM SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW is a collection of poems written in the year following the day she discovered she was a poet.

Dorothy again lives in Willoughby, Ohio.  She loves writing poetry and song lyrics.  She plays guitar and sings those songs.  Movies, jigsaw puzzles and family visits fill her spare time.  She continues to write her poetry and smile at the same moon as you.
