About the Book

     Little Birdie is a very curious little bird!  He often finds that his curiousity for excitement and his inability to listen gets him into trouble each day.  Mama Bird decides to teach him a lesson that Little Birdie will never forget.   Join Little Birdie and all his friends as they share adventures together while learning a valuable lesson.
    

About the Author

I am a 33 year old single mother of four beautiful and precious children.  I work full time at an Elementary school as a Community Health Nurse caring for the students and serving the community as a satellite Health Department in the school. I attended Eastern Kentucky University for four years graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.  I write continuously in my profession preparing educational presentations for Kindergarten through fourth grade and the community. 
      However, my writing career began in high school with a home work assignment.  The assignment was to write a fable but there was a twist to it.  The ending had to teach a lesson. My creativity took over and the assignment did not take long to complete. My advanced English teacher encouraged me to illustrate it into a book one day. Now here I am, fifteen years later pursuing my dream of reading my book as the bed time story to my children at night.
     I never imagined it would have taken me this long to achieve my dream.  I had to work on my book in between work, everyday tasks of being a mom of four precious children, their sports and church activities, one child's homework, and planning a wedding.  I have truly enjoyed writing and illustrating this book and starting a second.  I hope all parents and children enjoy my book as well.
