I have spent many sleepless nights lying in bed pondering over random ideas, questioning my beliefs, and finding myself. It was over one of these ‘nights of deep thoughts’ as I call them, when I first gave some serious thought to the idea of soul mates, of destiny, and of what people call “meant to be”. The idea was so abstract, so lacking of concrete evidence, that I found it appalling to think that some people could base their lives on that sort of a foundation. I had never been a precise, so to speak, “scientific” person who requires solid evidence to back up every theory. But, even for me, it was hard to swallow the concept of a faith so strong that one could essentially fall in love and spend the rest of his or her life based on possibly coincidental ‘signs’.
Was the notion of soul mates plausible? believable?
If so, how would one recognize his or her soul mate, his or her other half?
How would you know what was meant to be?
And then I met him.

About the Author
Having been a passionate writer all my life, I am finally being awarded the opportunity to get my work out to the public. And trust me, it feels unbelievably amazing. As of 2008, I am seventeen and I currently attend Troy High School in Fullerton, California. I was born in India but have moved around the world ever since then, having spent seven beautiful years in Singapore. I suppose that a bit of me is still in Singapore and perhaps that’s why that beautiful island always finds a way to show up in my writing. I am the older of two siblings and I absolutely adore my younger brother as I do the rest of my family. Other than that, I am still in the process of figuring out myself and the world around me. One thing I do know for certain, though, is that I intend on continuing to write as long as life allows. So, my enthusiastic readers can keep looking forward to loads more!
