About the Author

Elliott Perlin, M.D. is a physician board certified in five specialties, but primarily a hematologist/oncologist who cares for patients with serious blood disorders and cancer.  Within his practice he has treated many patients with addictive habits.  He has published almost 100 scientific papers which include a number dealing with medical ethics.  He has also published poetry relative to medical issues and a book of poetry that traces his life (Like the Trailings of a Comet on an Endless Journey, InfinityPublishing.com, 2006).  He lives with his wife of 52 years in Bethesda, MD.  They have four children, eleven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
