After many years of facing drug smuggling, terrorist attacks, hi-jacking etc we now find ourselves in an era wherein airport security is one of the most unyielding and sensitive in detecting the infiltration of damaging substances, ploys and schemes around the world. In order to address these problems the world’s leaders have ploughed vast amounts of finance into armed military and security training at the highest level, dog training and machines have been built to search and scan you and your luggage. The aim is that nothing should get through that is not meant to get through. The thing that I find most bizarre is that in truth some of the worlds most damaged vessels or vessels carrying the most damaging materials pass through their scanners and security officers unnoticed everyday; weaving in and out of life’s spiral undetected. Man has yet to build a machine perceptive enough to uncloak the millions of broken people wondering around in the disguise of adulthood and accomplishment. We can detect drugs smuggled around within the human body but the broken fragments of the emotionally wounded go unseen as if a deal was made and now all that is needed is a convincing smile or a nod of the head and no questions are asked and off we go in our stalemate continuum.
Further along in the film Antwone Fisher there is a poem presented to Denzel’s character ‘Dr Davenport’ by Antwone after he finds in Davenport some much needed support. Support that he had never known and a trust that he was sure no longer existed. The poem is entitled ‘Who Will Cry For The Little Boy’ and honestly; it has brought me to tears many a time as I identify with the little boy inside the man questioning whoever would listen ‘who will cry for the little boy’, and though he knew for many years that question; however profound, had fallen on deaf ears he still stood as a man alone in a row boat in the middle of the ocean shouting loud from within, with nothing but emptiness to hear his cry.
David said in Psalm 34v4 that “I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears”

About the Book
The book ‘Unresolved; Still Controlled’ deals with some of the damaging issues that haunt many of us from our adolescence into our adult journey, through the memories of our broken pasts. Using the analogy of a bomb blast the book illustrates the cause and affects of some of these experiences.
It looks at the damaged vessel – how it is cracked by broken trust and misuse, how betrayal of innocence causes fractures and splinters. How parts of our emotional structure, which should have been nurtured, were dented and destroyed and may, if the hurt is not identified and dealt with, control our self image, tarnish our identity and mask the beautiful truth of who we are in Christ. The aim of this book is to lead the reader through the word of God to a place of practical and personal healing. Paul Taylor is a songwriter within the music industry, and has been a youth mentor and a minister for a number of years. His heart for encouraging broken and hurting people stems from the journey of his own turberlent past. He has risen through the tunnels of vurbal abuse, betrayals and other emotionally scarring events and by God's grace he has been able to minister to many people from different backgrounds and tell them of God's healing power. This may be Paul's first book but he has been writing God's message of restoration in people's hearts since God showed him His passion for wounded people in a wounded world.
