About the Book

Josephine Ray, a Canadian writer at heart, has just been promoted as assistant researcher to edit the Pilot episode of the upcoming sitcom The Wind of Destiny at her television station CNE. Her studio is collaborating with ATVN, a long time competitor, to produce a masterpiece and make history.

Conflicted by the French and American identity her divorced parents have left her, she is now facing the challenge of a lifetime. The arrival of a mysterious man changes her life as she prepares to present her material for the first time to her executive producer.

With only the script at hand and her bold courage, The Big Apple awaits her. A new chapter of her life begins when she learns she must work hand in hand with American producers to help shoot the Pilot for the annual gala. Trapped in between her goal to succeed, the fear of a man she hates to love and greedy business partners, Josephine opens her eyes to the realities of life. She must follow her heart and fight for what she believes in: her version of the story and her writing.

About the Author

I consider myself an optimistic observer, student and teacher. After 28 years playing around with words, my pen has finally set its ink on a piece of work I can proudly call my first published book. Yes! I am a first-time author and it is fantastic to realize studying communication, film production, graphic design and advertising have in some way contributed to developing the necessary tools to inspire and document a story such as this one.

Working in advertising and communication has given me the perspective I need to analyze and give life to my characters. In the same direction, I brought to the surface many situations and life battles young professionals go through, something many Americans and Canadians can relate to.

As a result, I have taken some of my best observations and blended them into a colourful smoothie with mixed emotions!
