About the Book

This book is a real-life vignette, a "snap-shot" of the night our children's "baba" brought their hamsters home.  We are a multi-cultural family, and I envisioned the book embracing the cultures we brought to our family.  Many thanks to Gitti Fakrainejad-Babai for her Farsi translation of this book, to Mary Coons for her beautiful artwork, to Campus Printing for editing and typesetting the Farsi, to Minuteman Press for turning the artwork into PDF files, and to our family for living the moment so many years ago.

About the Author

"Margot" was who I was before I was born.  It was the name my mother gave me in her thoughts and prenatal communication while she carried me inside, as she told me many times throughout my life.  My father didn't like the name, so it's not the name by which any one else knows me.  I like to think that God allows mothers who live in Heaven to know when good things come to their children on Earth, and I hope my mother knows "Margot" is now publishing her first book.
