About the Book

This is the author's fifth book. It is a collection of his magazine articles accepted for publication over the past two years in the United States and Europe. His readers immerse themselves in the cockpit with him experiencing the sensations, the thoughts and the exhilaration. When he steps outside the cockpit and gives his strong opinions on the subject of aviation, you may not agree with him, but you will know exactly where he is coming from. That these articles were accepted for publication and read by hundreds of thousands of aviation-like people worldwide attests to the quality of his prose.

About the Author

Slipping past his seventh-eight birthaday the realization that it was over sixty years ago that he soloed in a yellow 65 horse Piper Cub becomes apparent. In a life time that is a long time. Yes, he was flying aircraft before he learned to drive. As a young teen he was influenced by WW ll aerial combat and thumbed rides from his home to the cloest airfield to work for his flying lessons. When the Korean War came along he dropped out of college and was one of the first to enlist and came home a Korean Combat Air Force veteran.

There have been many aircraft in his life from antiques and classics to warbirds. From his home and hanger on a private airfield to air shows there was a common factor. Piston engines, leaking engine oil, cockpits with round instruments, rows of toggle switches and a straight forward you flew the airplane not a computer doing it for you. Yes, he is an old time pilot, in fact many refer to him as a antiquated pilot, but he can write bringing his readers deeply into his vast aviation experience. From a 65 horse Cub to a 3400 horsepower warbird he brings you, the reader along for experiences of a liftime.
