IN THE DESERT, I FIND MY TRUE SELF

Here is a poem to the Northwest Fall...
 
A Prideful Fall

Daylight shortens;
Days of darkness grow,
Light and dark blending,
Calling to the Fall
The soul takes warmth;
Golden rays of light---
Summertime ending,
Surrendering to the Fall
The soul sees wonder;
Gold red leaves in Fall
Seeming ablaze in glory,
Reaching up arms wide
Dancing their dying dance
In musical winds of Fall,
A lullaby of the Creator,
Calling all plants to slumber.
Anew the earth completes
A cycle of life to death,
Surrendering to a prideful Fall.
