About the Book

It is my hope and prayer that this book will help those that are experiencing difficulties in their lives and have experienced difficult situations. The book is also designed to help those who have disabilities and it is my hope that one or more of these poems will give you hope and encouragement. I am also writing through real life experiences or real life events that I have experienced in my life. Every poem in this book has a true meaning of life. I have never written a book before, until God spoke to me, and asked that I deliver this to encourage you, and help bring inspiration in your lives. I hope each poem will help you in some profound way. Just remember that all of us have a pretty large collection of struggles that weakens our chance to succeed. I hope that you will share what you have learned with your struggles just as I have shared myself, and my life, with you.

About the Author

Born August 19th 1970 in Nichols, Florida a small mining community. My parents divorced when I was four years old. My mother moved my sister and I to Lakeland Florida. I spent most of my childhood years in the Boys and Girls club where I learned the game of basketball. Basketball kept me out of the rugged streets and gave me a outlet to education and a better life. But the realities of my life would soon catch me. I began experiencing cigarettes which led to alcohol and drugs. I always had a desire to do something larger than myself. Basketball gave me a opportunity to graduate from high school and college. My mother couldn't afford to support me financially so I returned home and finished a two year degree in business administration. I met my wife in college and we have two wonderful children. I would be the first to admit that I,m one of the most imperfect persons on earth but I have always had the desire to help others even when I didn't help myself. Through my personal struggles I,ve found a way to help others with this book. I hope the book you are now holding will help millions find deeper significance and lead more balanced lives. I live by the notion of what my mother taught me that it's not what you do for yourself but, what you do to help the lives of others that matters. Reach for your dreams regardless of the obstacles in your way.
