I yelled, “where are you, whoever you are?!?”
“It amazes me that you still have no idea who I am.”
“I could find out right now if you would show yourself.”
I kept spinning around to try to gain some vision of the person. At first, I was unsuccessful. The mocking laughter was infuriating me. Then, when I believed all hope to be lost, I caught a shadow streak across the darkness from the corner of my eye. Immediately, the battle I had with Travis came to mind. The circumstances were different in the fact that there was no light present. I had to use every sense but sight.
I closed my eyes and inquired, “are you the Betrayer?”
“Am I? Don’t you know?”
Using my heightened sense of hearing, I asked, “so, why don’t you reveal yourself?”
“I already have…you just never were keen enough to realize it.”
That was it. He was about six feet behind me. I quickly turned around and leapt at the location of the voice. I made full contact and felt the force of us falling to the ground. I had him in my grasp. At that moment, the door that had opened before, opened again. The light was sweeping across the floor in our direction. It was almost upon us…I was finally going to see the Betrayer’s face…
“Sir? Are you okay?”

About the Book
It has been five years since Steven X Masters had rid the world of the “Savior” of the vampires and staged his own death.
