As God’s chosen family, the children of Israel had turned their backs on Him. They had broken the covenant relationship. They were in defiance of God. “In the days of Ahab and Jezebel, violence, sexual perversion, and idolatry of all kinds were rampant. It was into this vile atmosphere that Elijah stepped fearlessly.”16 Israel, God’s children, had committed spiritual infidelity. They had broken the covenant of love and had sought after other gods. They searched for love and security in the wrong places and had turned away from God at a most critical time.
Here it was that Elijah was commissioned by God to appeal to the hearts of God’s children. ...... Then shall they realize that the sweetness that the world offers is bitter in the end. Their eyes are going to be opened, and they, like the prodigal son, will come to their senses and rise from the pit of sin and ungodliness and head on home. Our children will come from the tombs of drug abuse and addiction. Some are on their way home from the graveyard of sexual perversion and loneliness. The far country of pleasure, promiscuity and homosexuality will no longer hold them captive and they will head on home. They will be unshackled and come home from the ties and chains of rebellion and frustration. God will bring them. He alone is able and qualified to bring them safely home. There are also those who will leave the streets and prisons of crime, homelessness and spiritual depravity, poverty and even bankruptcy. God’s Spirit will awaken within them an intense desire and urge to return home. ... Restoration is a promise we all must claim.

About the Author
Dr. Vincent A. David, BA; MSA; PHD; CFLE; CCIC, is author of DARING TO DREAM: 70 Plus Magnanimous Insights of Wisdom and Inspiration For Anyone Daring to Dream and currently the Director of Education of the North Caribbean Conference of Seventh-day Adventist. David is a graduate of Oakwood University in Huntsville Alabama and Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan USA. He is the first of his siblings to attend college settiing the pace for others to follow. He has moved from the Daily News paper boy to the dynamic Preacher of the Good News of the Gospel.
David has received numerous awards and was named an Outstanding Youngman of America. His wife Celeste Marie and children, Vincent II and Chaunielle Lizette are constant inspiration in his life. This book was birth out of a need to fulfill research requirement during graduate studies. David was challenged by his professor Dr. John Youngberg who expressed admiration for his ability to say so much in what he calls a “one liner”.
