For a basketball team in the state of Indiana, winning a state championship is the ultimate achievement. Even the most talented and determined squads can fall victim to the rigors of the tournament series. Those who survive the long road trips and stiff competition in their quest to claim the mantle of “champion” do it with teamwork, good play, and good fortune. Emerging on top is a remarkable accomplishment.

            The Canterbury Lady Cavaliers earned their first-ever state championship in 2008. Tag along with the team and coaches as this interesting narrative looks at the season from an insider’s perspective.
