What You Are To Me
You are the brightness in my life,
My hopes, my destiny,
My good companion, and my friend
My comfort in adversity,
You turn the grey skies into blue,
And dark clouds into light,
You make my future feel secure,
And wrong deeds into right,
You’re inner feelings that you hide,
Rise quickly to the fore,
When sickness show’s its ugly head,
Till all is well once more,
No evil thoughts of others,
Have I ever heard you say,
Your presence makes my life complete,
In every single day,
You’re gentle disposition,
That you quietly employ,
Is what makes you so special,
And fills my life with joy.

About the Author
Patricia had a fairly hard start in life, suffering from bronchitis for several years, and then in 1939 at the beginning of WWII, she was evacuated to the country.
She was fortunate that Pat, her older sister and brother were billeted together in a lovely country house near Henley on
At 14 Pat started work in a factory on war production, she started writing little poems about that time, and she later trained in
Patricia’s first husband passed away, she has one son and has been married to her second husband since 1966.
