About the Book

A book of poems all about Romance and sadness too,

Cheating hearts, and stolen love, are all explained to you,

The riverside, and willow trees, and pretty country scenes,

And Silent thoughts, and Growing old, and Memories, and

Dreams.

The passing years, the Family tree, and what you are to me,

A special gift, A loyal friend, and Life’s monopoly,

The silent sounds of summer, Gone to earth, All in a day,

The winds of change, and Morning dew, followed by Gone away,

To serve his country, Faith and trust, The rose, Tranquillity,

Are just some of the titles in this book composed by me?

About the Author

Patricia had a fairly hard start in life, suffering from bronchitis for several years, and then in 1939 at the beginning of WWII, she was evacuated to the country.

She was fortunate that Pat, her older sister and brother were billeted together in a lovely country house near Henley on Thames, the home of a Doctor and his wife, there she stayed for 4 years.

At 14 Pat started work in a factory on war production, she started writing little poems about that time, and she later trained in London for furnishing, and set up her own business in High Wycombe.

Patricia’s first husband passed away, she has one son and has been married to her second husband since 1966.
