About the Book

The history of Oxford Stadium has been written to preserve some record of an industry which fails to record its amazing ninety year span.

The book gives a year by year account of Oxford Stadium from 1938, when plans were conceived to build a greyhound stadium in Oxford, right up to the present day.

A great deal of research and help has gone in to collating the information and anyone interested in racing, history and in particular greyhounds will consider it a must read.

About the Author

Gary Baiden is the longest serving Racing Manager in Oxford Stadium's existence and is well placed to produce a book charting its history.

Realising what little was recorded and fearing that everything could eventually be forgotten, he set about researching the subject that has been a huge part of his life.

With his contacts within the industry it has enabled him to produce a book that needed to be published.

It is his first book to be published despite the fact that one of his hobbies is to record statistical information about all sports.
