About the Author

I spent most of my working career in the construction industry.I became well versed in almost all phases of the home building process.I lived most of my years in an area just north of Detroit.I'm happily married to my best freind Susan, together we have three great kids Emma,Anna,and Robert.I also have a wonderful daughter Amanda who lives in Michigan with her husband Ian.We presently live in the Orlando Florida area. Just after getting settled into our new lives in the sun state in early 2007 I was diagnosed with cancer and major surgery soon followed.Once a stronge, hard working man, I was reduced to a frail and frightened person with an uncertain future.I turned my life over to God.I asked for strength, guidance and something to occupy hands and mind.One day while going through a box of old pictures, I came across a family photo from 1975.It made me laugh.My wife and kids as well.I started thinking, then I  started writing down my thoughts.I soon had the start of a story.I kept writing and a year later I completed the story.I then started drawing picture to go with the words.As I was getting started drawing, it was discovered that the cancer had moved to my brain.Another major emergency surgery and more uncertainty.I was able to recover at home.With much prayer and determination I was able finish and publish "The Man With Big Hair". Miracles Do happen!!!
